"It's Healthy! Calories Don't Matter!"

Said the guy going into the pool with his shirt on! Although we wish this myth was true, sadly, it isn't.

Many foods we presume that won’t make us gain weight will actually do the opposite, such as pasta, white bread and brown rice just to name a few.

"I Can Stuff My Face Because I Workout"

So you think just because you put in work at the gym means you can eat as much as you want and still lose weight?

Well think again!

Getting those abs out of that belly means you have to intake less calories than you burn daily...which means not stuffing your face, sorry.

"Skipping Meals Is A Good Idea"

This is also false, studies show that people who skip meals during the day tend to be heavier than people who eat breakfast, or have 3-5 meals a day.

Eating proportioned meals throughout the day helps with hunger and over-eating later. 

"Healthy Foods Are More Expensive"

Healthy foods don't necessarily cost more than their unhealthy alternatives.

You'll notice that on average you'll pay more for a high salt, high fat, ready-made meal than you would if you had bought fresh ingredients and made the meal yourself.

"Eating After 8:00pm Causes Weight Gain"

Let me guess, you believed this one too. 

It matters what you eat not necessarily when you eat, calories are still calories no matter what time of the day you consume them!

What matters is the amount of calories you eat before you go to bed rather than not eating at all.
