I bet you didn't know that studies show people who eat 4-5 meals or snacks per day are better able to control their appetite and weight. Snacking can definitely be your friend because it keeps you satisfied throughout the day so its harder for your to over eat.

Eating low-calorie snacks that have a high content of fiber will keep you full and suppress all urges to munch on something with high calories - and a high amount of regret after.

Here are some great examples of simple, healthy snacks that will help suppress your hunger.

Green Tea

This tea is especially effective for weight loss because it contains an amazing phytonutrient that increases the hormone responsible for creating the feeling of being satisfied.

In the battle against body fat, feeling full between meals is your greatest weapon.


All varieties of apples help suppress hunger for a couple of reasons.

Eating an apple involves lots of chewing time, which helps slow you down and actually gives your body more time to realize you're no longer hungry.

Apples are also filled with fiber and pectin, which help you feel full. Plus they're just delicious!


These suppress your appetite when eaten in moderation, and are full of fiber and heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.

On top of this, these little guys even send signals to your brain that tell your stomach that it's full.


The liquid of life is also your best friend when it comes to shedding stubborn pounds.

In one August 2010 study, people who drank two glasses of water before a meal ate between 75-90 fewer calories at the meal than those who didn't drink water!
